Josie Portillo will participate in a group show running July 13-Aug. 3, 2024 with additional participation in our January 2024 preview “INTRODUCTIONS” group show. Come meet the artist Jan. 13, 2024 at an opening reception.

Josie will participate in a July group show entitled:

"Women Painting Women"

The show will address the complexities in the intersecting role of women by examining themes of female archetypes through nature, consumption, self preservation, autonomy and ancestral roots.

Josie Portillo was born, raised and currently resides in Los Angeles, California where she works as a freelance illustrator, painter and a ceramic artist. Josie studied at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena receiving her BFA in Entertainment Arts. Her intention as an artist is to create images that create cultural connections. She draws inspiration from her Salvadoran-American heritage as well as from the urban and natural landscapes that surround Los Angeles.
